Will Dyer
Head Coach - 4th Season

Coach Dyer graduated from The Ohio State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport and Leisure Studies. Coach Dyer began his playing career with the Concorde Soccer Association back in 1982, being a player during its foundation and growth from there Coach was an Army brat and went to various High Schools before finally settling at Del Norte High School Knights Soccer in Albuquerque, NM and then played at The Ohio State University in 1994-1995 under Coach Gary Avedikian before getting injuried during a match.

Coach Dyer started his soccer coaching career at Powell Soccer Clubs in 1997 thru 2001 then moving on to Detroit Country Day Middle School from 2002-2009 where he earned his National Soccer Coaches "National" License and holds a Class "B" License from the United States Soccer Federation.

During his tenure here at Lawrence Tech University, Coach Dyer has put together the first annual Alumni game, worked with the University on holding home games at the school, works hard with current and former players in the off season and also volunteers at the Canton Celtic Camp every summer.

Coach Dyer enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah, toddler son Gavin and their 2 dogs, Brutus and Buckeye. Coach Dyer loves to run marathons (2:52 PR), Ironman triathlons and playing softball during the summer months!
 
Steve Seargeant
Assistant Coach - 1st Season

Coach Seargeant, known generally as “Sarge” is a native of Liverpool, England. Sarge’s playing career began as a youth, including a spot on England’s under-16 National Team, which awarded Coach the honor to play at historic Wembley National Stadium.

Sarge turned professional in 1968, and made his debut in the 1971–72 season; he made a total of 80 league appearances for Everton F.C. between then and 1978.

Coach retired from the professional ranks in 1982 before receiving a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) “D” coaching license. In 1984 Sarge joined Oakland University’s staff as an Assistant Coach, where he spent 18 years. Sarge’s other coaching stints include: Detroit Sport Club, Michigan Selects, Vardar Academy, North Metro Rangers and most recently the Michigan Novi Jaguars.

Michael Knoff
Grad Assistant - 1st Season

Coach Knoff graduated from Lawrence Tech University in December 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Knoff is back as a Graduate Assistant to the Men’s Soccer Program, while he receives a Master of Architecture.  

Since the age of four, Coach Knoff has played for several Midland Fusion Soccer Club teams, HH Dow High School team and Lawrence Tech’s inaugural varsity team in 2011. Knoff is a former Blue Devil captain and goalkeeper before injuries cut his career short.

Knoff currently holds a Class 2 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) goalkeeping license and plans to pursue a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) coaching license. Coach Knoff will also assist Lawrence Tech’s Junior Varsity team. In addition to his coaching duties at LTU, Coach Knoff is the Head Girls Coach at Southfield – Lathrup High School.
